Whether you’re a parent and your kids just won’t eat their tea that you’ve spent hours preparing, you’re heavily in to your sport and you break a bone in the first game of the season, you send an email to a whole lot of people and you forget to send the attachment, or you’re like me and struggling to finish an important essay due in a couple of days… life is often challenging. But guess what? God loves you and died for you… so never lose hope… never fall in to a state of despair or lose trust. The moment we become anxious and get to a point where we are stressed and agitated… the devil is pleased. You turn from God and begin to fear! Lets strive to never get to this point.
God has a plan and if we live our lives for the Lord and try our hardest to live in accordance to His will, yes we will suffer and times will be challenging, but we will suffer with joy and hope. Suffer with peace in our hearts knowing we are doing everything for God. What was it Pope John Paul II the Great would say when he would come in to any country or place? Do Not Be Afraid.
When paddling down the river of life and we come to a fork in the stream, do we take the narrow, hard and challenging path? Or do we take the wide and open easier path? Do not be afraid to take the hard and narrow path in life that leads to the greater good of eternal life.
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If any one loves the world, love for the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world passes away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides for ever.
